Knittin' a mitten

Winter couldn't be a more perfect time to pick knitting back up! I've been working on all sorts of baby hats, modifying, of course, to fulfill my creative needs. I've been looking for a more challenging pattern to take up but was having a difficult time finding anything worthy on the web. That is, until my discovery of ravelry.com. It is glorious! Offering a number of things including creative social networking and FREE knitting/crocheting patterns. Below is a beautiful color work  that I've spent a lot of time on. Soon I will have a super cozy pair of fingerless mittens; they are super trendy right now. I cannot wait!

I've included a link to the pattern, in case your looking for something to do on a wintery Wisconsin weekend.

  2. Thanks Molly, I've been having a great time knitting them! I've definitely been challenged by the color work pattern, had to rip back quite a few times...but I think it's good practice. Seems to be getting easier to follow as I go. Thanks for the recommend, they are super cute and I'm sure I'll knit another pair!
